Creating a timeline can be very helpful, especially in the beginning. To succeed, stick to your plan as much as you can.

It is important that followers and website visitors find it easy to follow you or connect with you on social media. People use all kinds of social media sites daily. By frequently linking between social media accounts and your website, you make it easy for people to access your posts and content.

Look for unanswered questions that relate to your products and services, and find a way to use what you find here to improve how you position your solution to solve the problems of your audience.

As a bonus, if you consistently provide answers that are helpful and well-written, you could easily become an expert in a specific category on one of these forums.

Patience And Consistency Will Pay Off

Having patience is key when you begin to network through social media. It is important to establish trust with your readers and followers if you want them to become customers and clients. This takes time.

After a while, you will see your customer list begin to grow.

Take advantage of a variety of outlets when crafting your social media marketing plan. While I absolutely believe Facebook is the most powerful social media platform for business right now, you shouldn't forget to use other forms of social media, such as Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube.

I do recommend to my clients and students that you start with one platform.  When you can maintain your content and posting plan on that one consistently, then add another one.  You can share content without creating a lot of additional work - in time.

Having a presence on multiple platforms ensures that you will reach a broader selection of your target market.

When Do I Post?

If you already have a website or Facebook Business Page, you can check analytics or insights to see when your site gets visitors and when your Page fans are online.

Use these as a guide while thinking in terms of posting at least once daily with value-based content.  I recommend 3-5 times daily for those using Facebook Pages to promote their business.  These can include simple status updates, images, videos and shared content from your blog or website.

While it can take time to build a strong presence, applying some simple-to-follow principles can help you get a jump start on your social media marketing.

With a combination of consistent posting, authentic engagement with your followers and some strategic advertising, you can make quick strides.

So, basically, start wherever you are.  Make sure you really know your target audience.  Then, just get started taking a few daily consistent actions to start improving your social media marketing and growing your profitable business.
